Organic Assam-FTGFOP1s,#91

The Rani plantation is located in the western part of Assam, close to its capital city of Guwahati, at an altitude of only 48 m above sea level. The area, which was first cultivated around 1880, is an arid ecosystem, which is a result of rather dry winter seasons, moderately humid-warm summers and periods of monsoon rain. The teas predominately present a medium body, but are all very well-balanced with a malty, doughy flavor and slight hints of spices and herbs.  FTGFOP1=Finest Tippy Golden Flower Orange Pekoe 1

Reasons we LOVE this tea:

  • an almost PERFECT Assam, very balanced
  • a mild malty-ness arrives as cup cools
  • black tea may be a mentally stimulating beverage
  • black tea has been shown to reduce cholesterol
  • Has approximately 20% of the caffeine content of coffee
